Before the training or study visit
Before setting off on a training or study visit experience you should consider how you might integrate
the activities or period of study you will be engaged in abroad into the overall policy of your own workplace
as may be reflected in its mission statement or in the pedagogical plan.
By integrating any newly acquired skill, competence or know-how into the existing or near future mission
statement/ pedagogical plan, you may receive extra resources required to make new activities function and
improve. Networks not integrated in the mission statement and which do not have the means to function
(management, feedback, in-service training of staff) have little hope of being scheduled into one’s daily
activity and therefore have little chance of surviving very long.
Your journey towards a future network will therefore start already when you receive the LLP grant and your
participation is confirmed by the provider. Use this period to plan and prepare by involving your institution
and by getting to know the other participants.
